Making pizza from scratch can be a fun and rewarding experience. Here's a basic recipe for making homemade pizza:

**Ingredients:**

- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

- Pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

- Shredded mozzarella cheese

- Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.)

- Olive oil

- Cornmeal or flour (for dusting)

**Instructions:**

1. **Prepare the Dough:**

   - If using store-bought pizza dough, follow the instructions on the package for thawing or proofing the dough if necessary.

   - If making homemade pizza dough, you can find various recipes online. Knead the dough until it's smooth and elastic, then let it rise in a covered bowl for about an hour until it doubles in size.

2. **Preheat the Oven:**

   - Preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible (usually around 450-500°F or 230-260°C). The high temperature will help achieve a crispy crust.

3. **Prepare the Toppings:**

   - Slice and prepare the toppings of your choice. You can use a variety of vegetables, meats, and cheeses.

4. **Roll Out the Dough:**

   - Dust your work surface with flour or cornmeal to prevent sticking. Roll out the pizza dough into your desired shape and thickness. For a classic round pizza, roll the dough into a circle.

5. **Transfer the Dough to a Pizza Pan or Stone:**

   - If using a pizza pan, lightly grease it with olive oil or cooking spray. If using a pizza stone, sprinkle it with cornmeal to prevent sticking. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pan or stone.

6. **Add the Pizza Sauce:**

   - Spread a layer of pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

7. **Add Cheese and Toppings:**

   - Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add your desired toppings on top of the cheese.

8. **Bake the Pizza:**

   - Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown, and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

9. **Cool and Slice:**

   - Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two. Slice the pizza into wedges using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.

10. **Serve and Enjoy:**

    - Serve your homemade pizza hot and enjoy!

Feel free to get creative with your pizza toppings and experiment with different combinations to suit your taste preferences. Making pizza at home allows you to customize it just the way you like it!
